Technical descriptions of STANDARD pool covers

Retractable ROYAL DOLPHIN STANDARD pool covers are made of quality materials from European manufacturers. As opposed to the ADVANCED and STRONG LINE models, they are only available in specific dimensions (see available cover dimensions) and cannot be adapted to the customer's specific requirements. However, due to the standardized dimensions and thus manufacture optimization, we are able to offer you a high quality pool cover at an extremely reasonable price! If your pool dimensions fit the available pool cover dimensions, the ROYAL DOLPHIN STANDARD pool cover is an excellent choice for your swimming pool.

All basic versions of pool covers are already equipped with one or more doors, depending on the model (see FRONT WALLS OF THE COVERS AND DOORS).

DESIGNED ACCORDING TO THE "DO-IT-YOURSELF" SYSTEM

The STANDARD pool covers are designed so that you can install them yourself, without the help of an expert, which saves you additional costs for the pool cover.

When you collect your pool cover from the supplier's, you will receive detailed illustrated instructions and a CD with a video demonstrating the pool cover installation with Slovenian subtitles. These are intended to guide you step by step through the pool cover installation procedure. However, upon your request (and an additional payment), we can install your pool cover as well. The same applies to pool cover delivery. You can pick up the pool cover in appropriate packaging ready for delivery at our location yourself or, alternatively, we can organize the delivery for you.

POOL COVER PACKAGE DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT

Optional: For an additional payment, we can deliver the cover (only applies to the KLASIK model) to your location already assembled, which facilitates its installation, since all you need to do is fix the rails along the pool and mount the assembled pool cover segments onto them.

COVER DIMENSIONS

Pool cover widths are standard and depend on the length of the cover and the selected model.

In choosing the pool cover width, attention should be paid to the outer and inner widths of the cover. The outer width is the maximum width of the cover or rails, and the inner width is the minimum available inner width of the pool cover.

ATTENTION: When choosing the pool cover, the minimum inner width of the cover should be greater than the width of the pool, including the stone edges of the pool (if they are installed).

STANDARD DIMENSIONS OF THE KLASIK AND KLASIK EXC. POOL COVERS:

LOAD-BEARING STRUCTURE OF THE POOL COVER

The load-bearing structure depends on the pool cover model and is composed of 35 × 50 mm aluminium profiles.

• KLASIK: Aluminium profiles in natural anodized aluminium colour or imitation wood, 35 × 50 mm
• KLASIK EXC.: Aluminium profiles, imitation wood

FRONT WALLS OF THE COVERS AND DOORS

The front walls are designed to allow the cover to retract beyond the pool edge (in case the pool has such an edge). Both front walls are fitted with a special, 10 cm high canvas seal at the foot of the wall.

The front wall can easily be removed at the lowest element, which additionally increases the functionality of the cover if it cannot be retracted beyond the pool edge.

The number and placement of doors depend on the pool cover model:

• KLASIK: A door at the front of the pool cover with a removable front wall
• KLASIK EXC.: A door at the front of the pool cover with a removable front wall and an additional side door

GLAZING

Pool cover glazing is available in several standard versions, depending on the pool cover model.

Standard glazings are as follows:

• For models: KLASIK
  The entire cover is glazed with transparent double-layer polycarbonate, 8 mm thick, with UV-protection and special NO DROP coating for reducing water drop stains.
• For models: KLASIK EXC.
  Side and end (front) wall glazing: approximately 2/3 of the cover surface is glazed with special organic fully transparent glass, 4 mm thick, with UV-protection.
  Pool cover ceiling glazing: approximately 1/3 of the cover (ceiling) is glazed with double-layer transparent polycarbonate, 8 mm thick, with UV-protection and a special NO DROP coating for reducing water drop stains. .

SEALS

The gaps between the aluminium profiles and glazing are sealed with acid-resistant silicone. The bottom edges of both front walls are raised by 10 cm and sealed with a canvas strip.

RAILS - cover guides

The pool covers slide on special rails mounted on a level ground along the pool. The rails can also be sunken into the ground so that they do not disturb the general appearance of the pool when the cover is retracted.

The rail type depends on the cover model and width:

• KLASIK: Classic aluminium rails with special rounded guides, 7 cm guide spacing, 22 mm high
• KLASIK EXC.: Special aluminium rails with flat guides, 7 cm guide spacing, 15 mm high

CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS

All screws and other metal elements are protected against corrosion (most are made of inox, aluminium, etc.), handles are made of technopolymer (polyamide), caps and shutters are made of biamide (polyamide), and rollers are made of polyoxymethylene (POM).
